Retiree
Retiree membership is for those individuals that meet the following criteria:
- Member must be 65 years of age or older.
- Must have been a member in good standing for at least five consecutive years prior to retirement.
- Must provide proof of retirement status.
- Entitled to all benefits of regular membership including voting rights.
- Reduced membership dues to support retirees continuing their professional engagement.
- Access to all NAHSE events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Personal Membership
Personal members are persons with a background in one of the following categories:
- Health and medical care administration having successfully completed an accredited graduate program in health administration or related field.
- Currently employed in a healthcare management or leadership position.
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field.
- Commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in healthcare leadership.
- Access to professional development resources and leadership training.
- Networking opportunities with healthcare executives nationwide.
- Eligibility to participate in committees and leadership roles.

Early Careerist
Recent graduates up to two years post-graduation working in a full-time paid position (including those in full-time paid residency or fellowship programs). This category is for a maximum of two years.
- Must have graduated within the last two years from an accredited program.
- Currently employed in full-time healthcare position or fellowship.
- Proof of graduation date required for verification.
- Special mentorship opportunities with senior healthcare leaders.
- Reduced membership rates to support early career professionals.
- Access to career development workshops and resources.
- Networking events specifically designed for early careerists.

Student
Student members currently enrolled in an approved program in those fields mentioned in personal membership and other fields deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited healthcare administration program.
- Full-time or part-time student status accepted.
- Proof of enrollment required (transcript or enrollment letter).
- Access to student-specific events and career fairs.
- Mentorship programs with healthcare executives.
- Scholarship and internship opportunities.
- Resume review and career counseling services.
- Special student rates for conferences and workshops.

Membership Guidelines
Active membership shall be available to those persons of acceptable character, education, and financial activity who are experienced employees in the health services administration field or who have executive or administrative responsibility for health care delivery, including teaching, or who are engaged in planning, consultation, legislation, publication, and other activities related to healthcare services and its delivery provided:
Membership Chapters
NAHSE Bylaws specify state that all members of the local chapter must be personal, student or institutional members of the Association. Payment of Chapter dues allows you the opportunity to take advantage of the many benefits offered by the local chapter in your city or the city nearest you. Benefits include local newsletters, local educational sessions, regular meetings and many networking opportunities.
Local Chapter membership is required for any individual residing within 75 miles of a listed Chapter.
